Persuasive Text: "Sport is bad for you"

Don’t you agree that sport can ruin your education!

Your teacher might be teaching you how to calculate the perimeter of a football field but instead you are too busy thinking about your next football game!!

Clearly this doesn’t come into account to the sport teachers of the world that in sport you can break a leg and not the way your mum would say “break a leg honey”. The way I see it, every time you play sports you lose a tooth, break a bone, get a concussion or even pull a muscle!!!

No self-esteem is left for the kids who lose their game.

I’d far rather if kids could not play sport so they would not be depressed and very sad for an extremely long time.

“Oops” your child will say when they go to the toilet in their paints because their coach would not stop the game. Your child will be very embarrassed when they go to the bathroom in their pants and might get teased!!!

So think about it your child will never be happy playing sport they will be happy being banned from SPORT !!!

This is Jess' attempt at a persuasive piece of writing. I guess some people can really sell anything. Good Job Jess!

"At Birrarung Park we supply water fountains, grassy areas and dirt tracks to see our beautiful Yarra River and feed our ducks and swans.

We also supply rental bikes to ride on the edge of the river , don’t forget to bring two dollars for an ice cream from our ice cream truck that comes every hour no matter what the weather.

You never want to leave Birrarung park because at Birrarung we have plenty of equipment for your children to enjoy , such as the mind twisting maze and sky high swings ,twirly slides and much much more.
So go to Birrarung park a great place to play!"
